Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

I've seen how crap teams are in this league. I've seen the fact we're 4 points away from the top half. This appointment basically consigns us to a relegation battle. It's what he lives for.
I said this yesterday but I don't believe Sam want a a relegation battle with us. I genuinely believe he has taken this job to achieve something at the end of his career. There is enough talent here and apparently enough money to turn us around and challenge the teams much higher up and one last crack at that for Sam is his motivation. Either that or a massive pay off for keeping us up and I'm talking out my arse!

I just get the impression he didn't want just another relegation battle job so there is ulterior motive to accepting our offer

If you can't see that we have comfortably one of the worst teams in the division bereft of technical ability and physicality then you need to watch us more closely.

And we can carry on being one of the worst teams under Sam Allardyce too. At least we'll get to 40 points hey. Like pretty much any other decent manager would've got us too, including Koeman.

This club never changes. Failure after failure.

I can give you 6m reasons why he'll be more than happy to squeeze that fat overpaid head through the door

Well there is no doubt that if the figures quoted are correct and if as being mentioned it’s a 3 year deal( let that sink in for a second)....... then this is the Corporal Jones of all appointments.

I just can’t see how this is going to work out. I can’t see SA fitting in with the club mentality and whilst change is clearly needed this appointment, if it happens, is to my mind down purely down to his supposed record regrading relegation or more appropriately lack of !

What’s going to be massively different to most of his previous jobs is that unlike WHU, Palace and Sunderland the bulk of the current players at Everton haven’t the experience of a relegation battle and as e have seen confidence seems to be at an all time low.

This could get very messy!

Character building.

We need to spend in January and i seriously worry about the type of players him and Walsh will target.

It's what a club with money but no sense does .

It is quite funny really, one of the best paid jobs in football is here and we cant get anyone other than allardyce to do it.

It also means the club have just Bowed to Sam's demands.

Seemingly this was our second approach for him after offering him a 6 month deal. Going back in he was always going to hold the cards and pretty much ask for whatever he wanted.

And he’s going to get it.

Everton. Absolute amateurs.

Being cynical (and hopeful) about it, I'm thinking that floating the idea of Sammy Lee and then not getting him involved might be a way of 'proving' that you did have a bit of negotiation and didn't bend over completely.

Anyone who thinks we'd have actually gone down under Koeman is incredibly deluded. We'd have came about 12th. Now we are stuck with this utter pond life for a role we don't even need, nevermind a role we should ever be creating. It's Phil Neville syndrome. Staying up is not a good achievement. It's what we do. Its barely an achievement. The day we start hiring to survive is the day we die. Today we die...
