end of season contract to keep us up, then we sack him off and re-evaluate, as sad as it is, i'm okay with that

He will have a multi year contract, but give him 18 months to steady the ship then sack and pay up the rest as and when the right candidate becomes available. Horrible news but we are on life support and need resuscitation, it has to be done unfortunately.

Plus we got Walsh in to be director of football but it sounds like too many people were still overruling anything he wanted, so if this is his choice then least he can say he got an opportunity to do things his way and if it doesn't work I expect him to fall on his sword.

So, it's come to this. Almost certain he'll be given a 2 year deal, and that Farhad will chuck him and Walsh etc out on their arses in the summer even if he keeps us up, and take the small hit financially. This is a short term appointment and no mistake, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Anything but relegation this year will do me.
