Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

But we are not in a position to attract any manager that's currently in a job and doing well. This will be reevaluated in the summer if Sam keeps us up, of course. For now, I currently can't see a better, realistic option. Dyche maybe, but why would he join us right now rather than wait till the summer? Same with Silva.

I refuse to believe this, there seems to be a massive divide in the boardroom and this has Steve’s ginger prints all over it. £6m a year is going to turn heads, no matter what your current situation.

The club should not have pulled the trigger without a replacement already agreed. It’s been a mess and Allardyce is the cherry on top. Now they can complete their Newcastle project, reunited at last

It saddens me to see you like this Mike. Bill has defeated another great blue.

It's a situation that I can't change mate, so I accept we have to make the best we can of our current position. Bill will never be hounded out due to protests because there's too many happy clappers in the fanbase who fall for his sappy drivel. He's here til the bitter end, we just have to continue to ride the bad times out for now.

Every single club he's managed has survived and then plummeted shortly after he left

Sunderland
Blackburn
West Ham
Bolton
Notts County
Palace

Or the more glamorous alternative
