Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

There are some utterly clueless 'fans' on here today.

Give me strength.

Here's another way to put it for the doom merchants and championship manager enthusiasts. If Allardyce was our 1st choice, he'd of been in 5 weeks ago.

We clearly had other targets. Silva for sure, possibly Dyche & who ever else seems a more fashionable choice.

For what ever reason either we or they don't want to be here.

6 weeks on, with matters on the pitch at an all time low, it's finally time to agree on a manager that IS available.

Allardyce might not be our primary target, but it looks as if he'll be the one.

Thats football
Nope.

Allardyce 5 weeks ago would have been bad, Allardyce now, after more than a month of self harm, shows that we are now a joke club. Like it or not we are now at the level of Sunderland or Crystal Palace. They are the club's that make these sorts of appointments. The difference is they make them quickly. We had no plan for a new manager, just like we had no plan in the summer for signings. The club is in a shocking state and this crap just exemplifies it.

You can shrug your shoulders and say "that's football" if you like but, typically, this type of scenario ultimately leads to relegation. Maybe not this season but soon enough. What players will join us now? Journeymen and mercenaries, that's who. Relegation is at the end of this road, sooner or later.

Sad day to be an Evertonian.

I don't think personal insults are called for tbh mate. I stated a couple of hours ago that I won't be criticizing any Evertonian who feels appointing Allardyce is acceptable. I'd expect the same in return to fans who simply don't think he's good enough to be Everton manager.

I don't think that's been deluded at all tbh

As it stands, 16th in the table with the worst squad in the league and no decent manager wanting to touch us with a shitty stick, it absolutely is acceptable.

We are a very, very crap team. Not this great all-conquering club that everyone wants to manage. That's just the top and bottom of it.

one thing he'll do is sort our defence out

but, it'll take time

and I'm talking 3-4 weeks before we start to see results

this side is that bad at the moment

!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not THAT bad, I agree its a dark day, but its Everton aint it.

I think it's an absolute piss take MG, i honestly do mate. Being the fickle fan I am no doubt 48 wins on the spin with each game ending in a 10-0 victory would probably make me feel a little better but as things stand I'm sitting here thinking what an absolute gang of tossers we have the misfortune to see run our club.
