The man is sick. Word around the traps is he is very very sick. He is unable to attend a game to watch his beloved football club and we hear he watches from his sick bed.
Some things are more important than a bunch of yobs hassling him because they "have money invested and every right to find out what in God's name is going on with their investments."
Poor timing. No class. Completely disrespectful to a fellow Blue and hs family.
Don't make me go on any further please...
Total crap, they have money invested in the buissness, someone should be able to give them answers

Poor form if you ask me. The man has his own battles he is fighting right now. Respect a fellow Blue's health issues and show some class.

It's not poor form, they have no other choice. As Shareholders they really are ENTITLED to know what's going on and not be blanked by the club. Bill is not well as we all know but the people running the club in his absence, whom he must surely have given his blessing, aren't doing their jobs properly. Therefore they have no choice but to approach him to get involved because as majority shareholder and chairman he has a responsibility. If Bill is in such a bad way that he's no position to do anything then he should publicly step down as Chairman. As harsh as that sounds an entire business can't just stop because one person is sick.

Yobs? Who said they were yobs? Maybe they've invested hard earned money into the business and want to know what's happening with the rudderless ship. They've tried to engage the appropriate people and get no response.

Go bang the doors down at Goodison if you please. Nobody is saying they don't deserve answers. Leave an extremely sick man and his family alone.

You didn't read my point. I said if he's that sick that he really needs to be left alone and not bothered by this then he or his representatives should publicly announce he's stepping away from the club as Chairman. The club/business needs a figurehead whom shareholders can speak too over disputes like this. If he's too sick to do the job then he shouldn't hold the position, simple as that and it applies to anyone and everyone.

Be Patient a few more weeks.

If the questions are along the lines of 'are you robbing the club blind?' I see no reason to answer them. Its pretty childish to be honest and there are better questions to be asked. Best ignored. If you want serious answers you need to ask serious non- antagonistic questions. Knocking on a sick mans door with questions like that IF that is the case is pretty sick.

But there has been no official sotry regarding that mate just rumours and speculation.

so if the rumours were false then it would be essentially a delaying tactic to put off people asking questions.

(i'm not saying it is mind you, just putting an angle on why the shareholders should still be chasing answers)

Agree with you 100%. Some things are far more important.

Just on the point of entitlement which has been mentioned several times, from a strictly legal perspective the private Company that is Everton Football Club meet all of their obligations in communicating with their shareholders.

Whether or not they do that well or intelligently is a different matter but I think it needs to be stressed that the company is a private company and meets its legal obligations.

As stated earlier I suspect this situation is more about the club's ability to communicate whilst in an exclusive due diligence process.

As ever The Esk is a calming voice of reason ;)

This has been going on for years. The fact he is allegedly sick doesn't just erase more than a decade of very well-founded concerns regarding the management of a club that is an important aspect of many people's lives.

If anything, the blame lies with Elstone for giving the shareholders legitimate cause to go over his head. I'm surprised Kenwright hasn't appointed someone to keep that buffoon in check during his protracted absence.

It is impossible to comment without knowing the list of unanswered questions. There is a moral entitlement to answers to legitimate , serious questions, but antagonistic, daft jokey questions such as 'were is the Arteta money' and 'are you robbing the club blind' are time wasting and undeserving of any kind of answer. I'm sure that the majority of small shareholders know that being a shareholder comes with entitlements, but also comes with responsibilities.
