Everton Shareholders Association appeal to Kenwright (Liverpool Echo)

It is impossible to comment without knowing the list of unanswered questions. There is a moral entitlement to answers to legitimate , serious questions, but antagonistic, daft jokey questions such as 'were is the Arteta money' and 'are you robbing the club blind' are time wasting and undeserving of any kind of answer. I'm sure that the majority of small shareholders know that being a shareholder comes with entitlements, but also comes with responsibilities.

Impossible to comment without knowing the VERY PUBLIC list of unanswered questions... But you'll comment anyway?!

Not a single of those 41 questions were in any way spurious; and definitely not "Where's the arteta money" types.

Just on the point of entitlement which has been mentioned several times, from a strictly legal perspective the private Company that is Everton Football Club meet all of their legal requirements in communicating with their shareholders.

Whether or not they do that well or intelligently is a different matter but I think it needs to be stressed that the company is a private company and meets its legal obligations.

As stated earlier I suspect this situation is more about the club's ability to communicate whilst in an exclusive due diligence process.
That's fair enough, however surely the situation would have been well and truly resolved if the club had answered them in the first place.
While I don't know that there's much foundation to any of the questions, labelling the questions disrespectful and refusing to answer them was only ever going to cause more aggravation.
Surely if they were without foundation or merit, it would be easy to lay it all to earth by saying this is not the case or explaining further.

Im not 100% sure but as i said in my pervious post, the questions were along those lines, i read the echo blog as it happened and they hinted along those lines as well as some of the 40 questions were repeated

I thought it had been universally agreed on here that the respectful thing to do was to not speculate over someones health!?

Honestly think we've got beyond speculation on this matter. As someone said above, Bill Kenwright would not be missing from so many Everton games unless there was a very good reason connected with it being physically impossible for him to attend. He is currently 'absent' from his 'real job' and that points to the same conclusion.

I agree with you. I wrote a report on the front page of this website saying that the AGM was a missed opportunity to put to bed all allegations once and for all.

It should have been a bridge building exercise but sadly has become the reverse, it has the potential to become a hugely devisive issue when it never needed to be.

I was commenting on the fact that we couldn't comment!. Please point me in the direction of the list of questions, because other posters disagree with you about the nature of the questions?

You still seem to be completely ignoring the fact that there was communication for over a month before the clubbed just stopped talking.

edit: read post 2 up

more speculation, everyone agreed a long time ago to respect his privacy until he made anything public.

We should stop all speculation about Bill's health on this forum, it's both disrespectful and inhumane.

That leaves the question of why the board (not Kenwright) has not answered fellow shareholders (not yobs) questions posed since late last year, prior to any due diligence/exclusivity period if such exists. That question can't be fobbed of by confirming there's no legal obligation to answer. Why haven't they provided the courtesy of an answer after advising they would do ?

Agreed.
The questions remaining unanswered if anything grants more legitimacy to the conspiracy theories surrounding the clubs ownership, regardless of the substance of those theories.
If the club were unable to answer certain questions around the financial status of the club as well as future plans for the club as a result of takeover discussions and resultant legal agreements, they ought to have said that they were unable to rather than just avoiding or refusing to answer the questions.

The list of questions put to the board are readily available here
http://www.efcsa.org/wp-content/upl...M-2015-Questions-by-Category-as-at-211115.pdf
Those are the questions asked by the Shareholders Association and do not include further questions asked by shareholders at the AGM.

I am not ignoring it Joey, nor am I justifying the Board's response, or lack of. I suspect the gap between the AGM and any period where they could not answer is quite a bit less than a month.

As I say the whole thing was easily avoidable and could have been a positive whereas actually once more we are faced with an issue that divides blues against blues.

Sad really.

No - you were saying nobody could comment on a list of unanswered questions without knowing what they were.

It is impossible to comment without knowing the list of unanswered questions.

Then you went into your usual mo of dismissing all questions as the same as the "Where's the arteta money" types of question as 'time wasting' etc...forgetting for a second that this was referring to the AGM - rather than hustling billox in the car park.

Here's a list of the questions to refresh your memory...

Where are these: "Where's the arteta money?" and "Are you robbing us blind?" questions then?

Its a 'business' decision a lot of the time. How many people knew Terry Wogan was ill? Similarly David Bowie?

Steve I really do not think it is sensible or right to speculate further about Bill or any reasons for any possible non-disclosure.

We've said this consistently since rumours of Bill's health appeared in the summer, I think we should maintain this stance.
