Well firstly, fans (apart from shareholders who's voice is now worth f all) don't own Everton and are paying customers, so no they don't come under scrutiny. You don't go into Tescos with a rotten bag of fruit and get to told you should lower your expectations do you? At least they get their money back. And do you think the fans could improve in any dimension?
Is it right that all other stakeholders come under great scrutiny for their contribution and the fans don't?
Do you think there's an elephant in the room here?
Why not do something else instead - go and play football yourself in the park? Watch TV? Go to the pub? Walk the dog?I go with the right mindset every week but that quickly changes once kick off begins and it’s same old Everton
I know but before a ball gets kicked you expect them to appoint adequate people to run the club manage the club and players wanting to give 100% for me who busts his balls all week and struggling to pay for a season ticket along with the cost of living but can’t even get to see decent football I’ve watched better amateur matches this year. No sense of entitlement but would like some entertainment for my moneyBefore a ball gets kicked in any season you have the chance that your team will finish first, get relegated or most likely somewhere in between. I’ve been lucky enough in my 62 years to see only 2 of them. The sense of entitlement of some is bewildering.
That's the whole point of the post - they're contributing negatively to the environment and hence the results, but don't come under scrutiny because they're payingWell firstly, fans (apart from shareholders who's voice is now worth f all) don't own Everton and are paying customers, so no they don't come under scrutiny. Footy is an entertainment business now, you don't provide it, you get the criticism.
So to continue to use my analogy, you'd kick shoppers out of Tesco for kicking up a stink about the quality of their product? Are you okay? Because this is B tier WUM stuff, leave it to Moomin and Chicoazul. That's the whole point of the post - they're contributing negatively to the environment and hence the results, but don't come under scrutiny because they're paying
Switch it round so that they're paid and then fans can be held accountable for their contribution too
I don't think the people with the job to do this actually think the Board are inadequateI know but before a ball gets kicked you expect them to appoint adequate people to run the club manage the club and players wanting to give 100% for me who busts his balls all week and struggling to pay for a season ticket along with the cost of living but can’t even get to see decent football I’ve watched better amateur matches this year. Sounds more entertaining might walk the dog Saturday. Why not do something else instead - go and play football yourself in the park? Watch TV? Go to the pub? Walk the dog?
