I wish you were right but unfortunately tonight has only come about because Collymore has been banging this particular drum before in fairness to him. No-one else in the football media has, afaik.

If any of the club's hierarchy happened to be listening no doubt they switched off half way through. After @the esk had spoken of course.

One of the points that came out of it is that the main shareholders are less likely to sell now than before, given the recent cash influx from TV rights.

Chris Bascombe who covers us for the Telegraph has certainly picked up the baton. Have a look at his article on Sunday and you'll see most of it is about the current malaise at the club rather than the game. ( I know he is a Kopite, but he's also had a good go at them in the past too ).

Our board have slipped under the press radar because they've had panto villains like Mike Ashley to concentrate on. However I do genuinely think that they are starting to sit up and take notice of us now. The lack of spending on transfers has quite rightly drawn press attention to us. This is something that I think the board didn't anticipate.

I get the feeling that the press are starting to scent blood and that's got be in the boards mind too. It needs a serious investigative journalist to get involved to really find out the truth.

Cue three transfers and everyone forgetting about the board again.

I fell asleep listening to the blue union fella , so just had to relisten to the podcast.

mr esk , I thought you were concise , intelligent and very much to the point.
I can criticise stan collymore for a lot of things but kudos to the chap tonight.

but its a chain of events isn't it ? need to sort out the stadium - cant because we don't have money - means we stagnate - so we need to sell the club - we don't sell the club - process goes in a vicious circle

the board need to invest to move us forward , or sell to someone else you can. 16 years and we haven't moved an inch on solving our fundamental issues.

time to crap or get off the pot bill.
as for earl , hes a dirty rat , a wart on the club and a spiv . using the club as nothing more than a profiteering venture and as something to brag about in the meantime "yea I own a premiership club" .... total scumbag

Southall the only one worth his salt

Exactly. I wrote an article about Southall's appearance at a BU meeting a few years ago. The bloke has no alliegence to the club or fan groups, he just tells it like it is and will not be told what to say. He has no time for all this "isn't Bill a luvvy" crap, he just want Everton to be the best.

Wish more had his attitude, instead most of them it has to be said, including many ex-players who I love and admire, smell Kenwright's arse and talk about what a wonderful man and chairman he is whenever he starts receiving criticism on media platforms like Talksport, all for a meal ticket.
