Thats the Championship names pretty much covered I think...
Just to say it’s ‘Colwill’

But one is crap and one isn't ready?
Chermiti has played 156 minutes in 15 appearances since joining us. 13 of those 15 appearances have been coming off the bench for ten minutes or less. He's 19.

Beto has played 929 minutes across 28 appearances. He's made nine starts and scored 3 goals. He's 26.

DCL has played 1952 minutes across 29 appearances. 23 starts, 6 goals, 1 assist. 27 years old.

Now I'll happily accept that DCL has had better seasons previously. Problem is the last one was in 20/21, under Ancelotti.

Statistically there's evidence to suggest that Beto, given the same number of starts and minutes as DCL, would match DCL's current production levels. He's younger than DCL but we paid around £20m for him nine months ago, so there's little scope for profit by selling him now.

Chermiti has youth on his side. He should be getting regular time off the bench. We bought him for around £12m nine months ago, so again there's little scope for profit.

DCL cost around £1.5m in 2016. Whatever fee is paid for him would be pure profit.

We have a bad habit of keeping players too long. We haven't done that YET with DCL... But we're close.

Beto is a Fiat Punto
DCL is a Ferrari

If your OK with driving a Punto I suppose.

DCL has absolutely never been a Ferrari.

DCL had 1000 extra minutes on the pitch compared to Beto - that's 11 entire games. In all that time, he scored three extra goals.

A serious club run responsibly would be open to bids of £30m+ for DCL at this point.

None of what you wrote negates the point you're selling a useful striker and banking on a crap one and a young one to keep us up?

Was breaking it down, the other day myself mate, its a compelling case for Big B.

Regardless, DCL is either signing a new contract or needs to be sold.

Its a bit ominous it hasn't been nailed down yet or even reports of discussions.

The only thing with Chelsea is that they clearly need to sell a few of the homegrown types like Gallagher just to meet PSR before they do anything.

At the same time, i know theyre rare but they could sign Onana and (same with others) chuck in a couple of players our way to balance their own books

Funnily enough Sport did mention Fermin as one of 4 options for a player plus cash deal back in March.

Only problem is Fermin does seem to be playing a bigger part now so wonder if he would still be a viable target

He looks ideal for a Dyche team...all action with quality with it.

Highly unlikely but never know.

I would question how much more useful DCL is than Beto right now.

I would question whether we have actually seen enough of Beto to accurately write him off as crap. And if he is indeed crap, we should be selling him and hoping to get our money back.

I would question how anyone expects Chermiti to progress if he only gets one start every fifteen games.

Selling DCL for £30m gets you £30m profit.

To get £30m profit on Beto you'd need to sell him for £50m, which isn't happening.

To get £30m profit on Chermiti you'd need to sell him for £40m: also not happening.

If someone wants to give us £70m for Onana then ok, that changes things... But how likely is that? I'd say £30m for DCL is more likely than £70m for Onana at the moment.
