Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Weird one that, what could he possibly be demanding that’s destroying these deals? Surely it’s the agent’s job to facilitate a move to a much bigger club not scupper it. Quite a few more deals than usual seem to be falling through this summer, hopefully clubs finally drawing the line on agents fees etc.

Agent might be masking for a large % cut, or just being an awkward nob, as most agents are these days.

I don't know why players put up with agents looking out for themselves at the expense of their clients. The agents work for the players not the other way around. Tessmann should've been off to Inter now god knows where he'll end up. If your agent is holding back your career bin them off.

Clubs feining interest to make rivals pay more than necessary, then losing interest when it reverts to them.
Keeping the price high.

Wonder if we’d be looking at Trevoh Chalobah. Chelsea seem desperate for sales and have him training away from the team, plays all the positions were short in and Chelsea would probably be happy to structure a deal that worked for everyone.
If he was available on a loan he'd be the perfect use of the domestic slot, can cover CB, RB and DM if needed, exactly the sort of thing we need when our ability to spend is limited.

I’d do DCL for Broja + Chalobah, make that work, if we had to pay a small fee or whatever, then take Phillips on loan. Normally swap deals are nonsense but they’re clearly on the table this summer. Also goes by the apparent valuations, we somehow want £40m for Calvert Lewin and they’re said to be happy for £20m each.

We would be weaker up front but not by a huge amount, we’d be comparative miles better off in the rest of the squad if we were able to pull a deal like this off.
