Tyrer should not be 3rd choice, he should be on loan in the Champ/League 1.

He's a future PL keeper IMO.

Championship is pushing it. But yes i agree, best thing for a young goalkeeper is games, games ,games. The level just needs to be a steady progression.
most successful goalkeepers (Pickford, Ramsdale, Trafford) etc have started with fairly low down loans similar to Tyrer
