We are going to swap them, both players will get their 150k a week contracts … and we wil be trying to swap/sell broja in 4 years time when he’s in exactly the same situation as DCL is now

Yeah the issue with that is that most modern day strikers are not target men and they don't want the ball pinged in at chest/head height. Loads of players don't even want to head the ball at all anymore tbf (Obvious reasons)
We end up buying a player like Beto who is physically the right profile but who actually wants it knocked long to run on too. Virtually no other team in any of the top 5 leagues sets up and executes their gameplan like we do it's ridiculously outdated and easy to play against, it's killing us atm.

It could also highlight the fact that the players that come through our youth system don`t go on to a high level when we do let them go. We seem to spend money to develop young plays for league one or two standard.

I thought they might pivot to him a week or two ago but I think they've held on for Guehi too long. I just can't see a deal of that sort of magnitude going from 0 to done in the amount of time left.
