If we are being honest before it opened I had this window down as a complete non starter. A few months ago there was lots of talk about administration, Freidkin gone and we still have the Dychasaurus Rex in charge. From that starting point we have actually seen some success.
- I hoped but did not believe we would get N'diaye
- Lindstrom is a good loan for when one of our 'so-called' wingers is out and offers creativity and a dead ball option
- Iroegbunam looks like the bargain of the window if swapped for Dobbin, if he carries on like this he'll be great or sold at a huge profit
- O'Brien looks solid and is such an upgrade on the Keane /Holgate axis of evil
- Begovic is a sound back-up and needs his badges
- Mangala I honestly have no clue but Gana and Doucoure are aging fast and if he is no good, its a loan....

- Dobbin was never getting games under Dyche anyway
- Godfrey has never been the same since Covid and was filling gaps at best
- Maupay, yes...
So presuming there is no more business tonight, my expectations have been met, There are some still here that we dont want but then nobody else wants them either.

I’ve put 10s as that’s where their main position is but they both clearly can play out wide aswell, especially NDiaye.

There aren’t many “prolific” centre forwards in world football & the ones that are go for money we don’t have. That or you’re talking a gamble.

Brighton are a far better ran football side than us, have players who actually want to play for them & have managers who play a certain way. It’s not comparable. The DoF has had to work with a sinking ship.

The Harrison loan made sense. We’ve also tried to sign several wingers, it’s not recruitments fault if they don’t want to come here but he’s absolutely improved in that final third. Hes replaced Danjuma & Dobbin with NDiaye & Lindstrom.

I don’t understand honestly. How does the Harrison loan make sense on 60k a week when he offers little in terms of goals and assists , in which we are in desperate need of?

I get we are in a poor state, isn’t this what the recruitment teams are paid for? Scout the globe, address glaring problems? They have months to prepare and strategise with added back up plans in case plan A fails.

Lindstrom and Ndiaye are not prolific wide men . As you said , two number tens. We need better wide players. I refuse to believe despite our predicaments we couldn’t scout better then McNeil and Harrison and actually sign them.
