Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Think he’ll be filling in with some goalkeeping coaching since Alan Kelly as left the club

I think that's a decent idea tbh, Begovic is an experienced keeper and a sound bloke by all accounts, he could be a good mentor for some of the younger keepers at the club.

Every club has an experienced 3rd choice keeper. City had Richard Wright then Scott Carson. It’s nothing new.

It’s always to help train the younger lads. Nothing to do with Kelly leaving, as we’ve already got a goalkeeper coach.

I don't think so, but not all problems have been adressed... That was clear from the beginning, I just think the squad should have used 1-2 loans differently.
The fullbacks have no competition and are way off form . The wingers have no competition and are way off form . Central midfield is a roll of the dice. Upfront the main guy hates us and the others are injured or turbo garbage. God knows when Branthwaite is back and tarkowski is clearly injured. Pickford looks jet lagged . It's not great

This squad has issues yeah. It must be very frustrating for a club that made a huge profit 3 seasons in transfers to not be able to reinvest. But I just say 15th at least should be possible.

I say in normal circumstances 100m reinvested, -10m net spend over 3 years, good wage structure as we seem to get there slowely... This squad would be looking different.

6 out of 10 for this window Broja could nudge it up slightly if he gets fit and firing which is a if. Some good signings but still didn't address the glaring weakness of pace on the wing and some weakenesses at full backs. Relying alot on Ndiaye and Lindstrom

The only significant departure is Onana and he hardly set the world alight.
Form aside - on paper we are a stronger squad.
The problem is that every other team has improved - so it's vital that we win the home games against teams outside the top 6.
Starting today with Bournemouth. Would be a huge confidence boost that the whole club and fanbase need.
