We need players who can play 38 games a season.

He may be a decent player, but he has truly burnt his bridges here.

Even if it did happen either he fails and the fans get on his case or he has another good season and starts to think about a move elsewhere.

People change as they get older though.

His consistency on the pitch this season (and just getting on the pitch) could be down to him looking after himself.

Any problems he might have being in Liverpool again would derail that though, so that would be the gamble rather than any talent issues. Talent-wise he'd be formidable to have in the ranks again.

It'd be all down to his maturity.

Imo i think maybe atleast a trial see what the lad is like and of course the money would have to be right for us. Is a risk but if works out could also have room to sell in the future
