Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Could be a deal we think could be worth the risk and could bring the lad in for cheaper than asprilla ect before has a good seasoj here and price goes even higher

Think would be different deals if honest, see they bought the lad for 7 mill so maybe could come in for 10 mill for him.

They'd be classed as different deals.

It may allow also for them to sell him for £10mil over his market value and us to sell DCL for £10mil over his market value.

Both sides then benefit for PSR.

Not sure Newcastle would want to sell him at this stage if we werent selling someone to them.

We’re not signing him

But we are DEFO signing him

Ashley Young is close to re-signing for Everton, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports journalist revealed via X on Sunday (26 May) that the club and player have held “positive talks.”

Mutual deals like this are definitely a possible workaround for PSR. Very little of a purchase would go on the books for this year but the full profit from a sale would go on right away so it’s a PSR win for both sides. So clubs with PSR issues selling players to each other makes sense.

Or look at what Newcastle did with Hall and Arsenal with Raya.

I think we need to get the young deal over the line first before we sign anyone else. If we can have the base of what we had this season and add a few then we will be fine. Fingers crossed young signs today

Re Calvert-Lewin, he might go to Newcastle if we decide to cash in and if he does it will tell us everything we need to know, going to Newcastle he will never start ahead of a fit Isak and will have pretty much gone for the size of contract.

Having said that I don`t think Newcastle have the wiggle room from a PSR point of view to be adding many 100k-150k a week players to their squad.

A lot of good players out of contract this summer...

Players I`d like us to be in for would be Ndidi (Onana Replacement), Ryan Sessegnon (Back up Left Back), Tosin Adarabioyo (Branthwaite Replacement).

Plenty more available, who could we realistically get?
