Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Wages, big time Charlie attitude ?

240k a week on Harrison and Phillips.

Oh Everton, dont you EVER and I mean EVER change, life would be boring if you were a normal club.
Hopefully his time at west ham has changed him and now feels is a chance he has to take. Plus his loan at west ham and the price they paid could maybe be lower now because how poor it went with city dropping the price, harrison loan is without a fee but to pay his whole wage. Is a risk but hopefully if he did come in would be early and dyche can get to work on him in pre season day one making him work hard and get him in top condition

We saw his level at West Ham last season when he was about 10 yards behind the pace of the game every time he was on the pitch and they promptly dropped him. Massive avoid for me.

It isn't that he doesn't have talent. he clearly does, but there has to have been some sort of issue off the pitch with him. Didn't Guardiola accuse of him of being overweight at one point?

I'm not even sure that getting a full Dyche pre-season in would be enough for him.

It's not quite Dele Alli levels of gamble, but it's not a million miles away given what he earns and at best you might be able to convince City to cover half of that. I knew this summer was going to be tough, but I was thinking low risk loans and frees, not magic beans

12m on a fat welder from Leeds and a hair product advert.
Or
12m on a boss DM and an attacking outlet.

Fate will answer this "excellent business" statement.

If we were in a different position I wouldnt go near either. But we need to get through this season before we can reset. Any signing is a gamble, at least these 2 would be short term ones.

City won't be able to sell him after how awful he was at West Ham. We wouldn't agree to his entire wages. Get him in early for half his salary, Dyche fit and motivated and it would be a good deal for a loan. Then Man City can look at selling him again next summer once his value has gone up.

Yeah you would want to, but that would probably mean paying man City wages. If its a deadline deal might be able to knock them down a bit.
Not a dig at you and im very aware that we havent signed him, but.

People spend a lot of time around July moaning that we have left our signings too late.

Now the difference between signing him now and August 31st would be, based on his wages, around 1.6million.

But hey, he hasnt signed yet, so every week we wait, saves us 140k, this is why we normally wait till deadline day.

This is also why we’re absolute crap and our business is consistently poor.

No way West ham paid his entire salary and nor would we
