Lampard played him a fair bit as one of the two CMs but let's be honest he was never great on the ball in those days and now two years on he's even worse so that is not a credible option.

He either continues as number 10 or more likely he's dropped for Ndiaye soon and then sold in January.

Mangala is very much needed imo to have the same numbers at CM as last season which was Garner, Gana, Onana and Gomes.
 
Anyone else got the horrible feeling we'll go for Reiss-Nelson or Miguel Almiron? Bobble mentioned the former on his stream. Didn't fully hear the context - sounded like he'd been offered to us.
 
we still have 1 domestic loan space available

it would be criminal not to use it given the lack of squad depth

we are deffo bringing in another domestic player on loan

is a striker to replace maupay and the possibly departing DCL?

is it a right back to give us the ability to not have to rely on an ageing coleman and young and an injury prone patterson?

is it going to be a winger to give us extra pace in the attack?

If we take the deal then we'll go from having a £25mil+ asset to a £12mil asset, in the eyes of our management.

If we dont take the deal, in 9months time we have no asset.

I'd take the deal if Chelsea added some cash on top and/or gave us a loan with option for Chukuemeka.

He was almost always a CM or DM at Watford. He was very good for Ancelotti in those roles as well.

Coincidentally, Mangala is also a DM/CM.

As for Gomes, he barely played and Armstrong could easily replicate his 505mins across the season.

Should have done this. Get a forward in instead of letting Dcl go for nothing soon and still leave a loan to buy option for someone like Fellows or Gnoto
 
Get emails sent out, then top up the old Skype with £500 and make follow up phone calls to every single club in the Middle East today. Get the social media team to put together a compilation of his best moments for us (tbf he has had a few, just that he's awful now) and post it across all our social channels. Maybe it'll do the trick.

Shouldn’t take to long to make a “highlight “ reel to send out.

Be a couple of goals shown from 100 different angles and then do the same with a couple of celebrations to try and get 60 seconds of video

Unfortunately there's some quandries in place that make those problems difficult to remedy , first Is beyond securing a winger that dyche approves , it's very unlikely if we did acquire a speedy winger that he'd ever displace mcneil or even harrison as dyche doesn't seem to prioritize that type of winger,

the striker dilemma is similar to the right back situation in that despite not having players that generate confidence we have an abundance of players in that position so unless we can shift DCL , trying to obtain an additional striker feels futile

With Gnonto (and also Richarlison) their defensive stats are probably superior to McNeil and Harrison.
