His current package is around 25m.Did he not get a 120k per week? Joint highest earner then
Considering the signings we have made, thats not bad, of course, it depends how he performs for us.

No adding one of there better players to our poor defence helps, same with Pope going good keeper, does richarlison being in a relegation battle make him a bad player? We had ambitions and spunked a loud of money on them and now look where we are so while wanting to be ambitious we also need to be realistic. You say we are relegation battlers yeah, so on that note does adding a relegation battler who got relegated last season would stop us being relagtion battlers? There is a reason why he stayed at BURNLEY for so long. He does improve our side (not saying much) cant stress that enough BUT he is 100% not the kind of signing we should be making if we have ambitions
The thing is, the last two summers we’ve lost Siggi, James and Richie - those were guys who had flaws but ultimately could be guaranteed to get goals/assists and had end product in the final third of the pitch. Other than DCL we don’t have any others. Not having a replacement lined up after the Richarlison transfer is absolutely pathetic, and the manager is being let down badly.
Depends, normally the fast pacy players who can keep up with the league are successful, I think he might just be that, in the Europa league he was the motm for them every game tooPlayers coming from Holland do not have a great track record in the premiership.
Some big successes, a lot more failures.
Is he not our joint highest earner?? Ok if we are going the package route, is signing a 29 year old burnley relegation player for 25m overpaying. Im not basing this off past transfers signing bad players does not make signing not quite as bad players better. His current package is around 25m.

Look, we wouldn't put him on the same money Laporte is getting at City if he wasn't a top player, would we?Did he not get a 120k per week? Joint highest earner then
I cant tell you if we overpaid till he plays. Is he not our joint highest earner?? Ok if we are going the package route, is signing a 29 year old burnley relegation player for 25m overpaying. Patience is the last thing this club needs. The club needs to be much more desperate for success.
Organised clubs have a replacement lined up when they are about to make a sale of over £50m
Digne too who was more than useful in the opposition's half. What a massive downgrade it has been all over the field. He'll do well to keep us up this season, to be fair, will Frank. And no doubt we'll watch Liverpool hit the ground running with their new striker Nunez and pick up multiple pieces of silverware again. Maybe we can reach the 5th round in a cup or pick up a fighting point away to United or something and that'll be our season highlight. The thing is, the last two summers we’ve lost Siggi, James and Richie - those were guys who had flaws but ultimately could be guaranteed to get goals/assists and had end product in the final third of the pitch. We’ve replaced them with Gray, Townsend, promoting Gordon and then whoever we can get for free/loan. The drop off is huge and has obviously impacted the team.
You can’t lose your more productive players, replace them with less productive players and expect to get better. We’re in trouble alright and the manager needs much better support to have a chance.
man
if i'm ever having a good day and want to be given a dose of sadness, it's good to know i can just come onto this thread
Differnt players, one is involved in scoring goals to try help the team win, one is involved with stopping the team getting scored past. People are getting confused with my arguement here. I AM happy we have improved our CB s a little bit. But in the sence of long term team building or financial reasons not the signing we should of made. IF we are doing that bad in losses financially heres an idea lets get another ok at best 29 year old player and lets pay him in excess of 6m a year untill his contract runs out and we get him off our books... or we could of got someone we could of sold in 2-3 years for a profit (if we wanted to)No adding one of there better players to our poor defence helps, same with Pope going good keeper, does richarlison being in a relegation battle make him a bad player? Kenny Sansom.
It’s been tough, man!
