Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

I'd actually be quite surprised if we signed anyone else before the season kicks off.

As I said the other day - fully expecting any new signings to happen towards the end of the window now.
I doubt if we will sign anyone at all tbh, we are trying to structure deals in the most ridiculous fashion that no club will rightly accept, as per every transfer window we only seem to do lastminute.com. I'm still really surprised that we have never appointed a head of first team recruitment, given our constraints we are crying out for someone with specialist player knowledge.

Season hasn't even started bro. Burn your bra. It could be a bloody disaster as much as it could be a pleasant surprise. We just don't know; that's football. As unlikely as it seems right now, by the end of the window we could be looking good. Let's panic when the window closes and if we're doing crap
I appreciate that Brendan , unfortunately we've never been in a worse circumstance . When we have the tools to compete we've finished midtable. We now have a far weaker squad with no money and we don't have that 2004 fight about us at all. Pre season has exposed the same failures as last year already. Its more worrying than last year.

I wouldnt be suprised if we sign noone, but i wouldnt be shocked if a few of these ‘5mill now, 20mill next summer’ deals are accepted closer to the end of the window, if other more front loaded bids arnt received by the clubs we are trying buy players from.

2 PL clubs interested in Sander Berge apparently. Leeds believed to be one. Reckon we could be the other?
Seems to be rated highly but always struck me as a little slow

He is slow but has a bit of everything in him, he also has a massive release fee i think so it will be interesting to see what the money is.

This is unforgiveable.

We sold the player who almost singlehandedly dragged us to safety and not only hasn't he been replaced but all we have to show for this summer is a free transfer with wages freed up and £60M brought in.

The 27 minute lot might not be minded to use this weekend's game against Kiev to protest, but that will happen spontaneously.

A decision has been made to face season 2022/23 on a wing and a prayer...after last season's heroics from the fans.

That club are playing with fire. Evertonians are a patient constituency, but when they blow, they blow big time. So keep pushing this Moshiri, Barrett-Baxendale, Kenwright - you're going to get a nasty surprise. Because you cant trash a fanbase that kept your arses in the big time and get away with it.

We walked into a relegation fight last season and when the club was in danger, the board were blind to it. Since the end of May there has been no reassurance it won't happen again and the chances of it happening are greater. There's no "three worse teams than us" this season, I look at Forest and believe they are stronger than us. Going into the new season with a very much weaker squad, what on earth is going on at this football club?
