Gilmour probably has enough credit in the bank to get another loan to a PL club, but the demand for him will be lukewarm. It's his last chance to shine before risking a drop to the Championship. I said previously, I(and even his coaches at club & international level) have no idea whether he'll be playing PL football in 5 years time or Championship football.

It’s as relevant as Tom Davies coming through for us, having a great first 6 months in the first team and owning City’s midfield.

The reality is he hasn’t got close to those levels consistently.

Why would anybody pick out the odd game years ago and ignore the entire season at Norwich last year? That’s far more likely a reflection of where he is as a player and the player we’d be getting.

Quite surprised Holland is so close.

Suggests a couple of things - look at the higher energy players in the lower leagues, and focus on skill level rather than results in the Dutch league since that can be lacking (eg: Altidore to Sunderland). If they can hack the Dutch league physically, it shouldn't be a problem here unless they're the type to get pushed off the ball.
