If I'm going by our history of "players who get injured mere days before the start of the season" then he's broken his leg in 12 spots and his foot is now on his shoulder.

Didn't Barkley tear his ACL because of a challenge in training?

Yeh I think it would work fine, maybe not against Chelsea, but against the sides we should be beating.
Dele's mobility is a concern if he's going to replace DCL (and Richy) as a centre forward but his finishing is probably on a par and he's tall enough to cause problems in the air - funnily enough all three have almost the same goal to game ratio in the premier league. One of the biggest contributors to his decline in recent years has maybe been trying to shoe-horn him in as a midfielder but giving him a go at CF might spark him into life.

Ok, Nunez has never kicked a bsll in the league, Salah is a winger, Diaz is a winger, Firminho is a bit crap these days and was a false 9 not a striker and Carvahlo yeah right mate

Wonder who you support
To be fair, I wouldn't argue with that list; horrible side but that's a hell of a lot of attacking talent

Pretty sure he meant atrackers, forward players not just striker, but you're correct in your in depth assessment of our biggest rivals. Sure you don't support them with that level of knowledge ??

I’d take
We dont have a striker at the club available for the first game of the season

Nowhere else in professional football would this happen. They don't deserve one single excuse.
they knew 12 months ago he was leaving and they knew in January he was going by June 30 to be left in such a desperate state 4 days before a new season is exactly why groups like the 27yr campaign exist, the club is horrifically run

It's not a bad idea to see if he could play the role. I would just be concerned about triggering the clause to have to pay £10 million for him
