Simms and dobbin must be dreadful if they are surplus to requirements in our current situation

The injury to Dom is going to be a turning point for transfers now. I'd imagine the club were probably after someone like Broja, a lad that can be used sparingly and developed. Now, depending on his injury we may need a ready made player to come in.
This may cost us money and impact any other transfers we had planned.
Well he is virtually guaranteed that with us for most of the next two monthsMate why would the target be Broja - a player who wants to leave Chelsea purely as he doesn't want minutes but to be a starter and he'd come here as backup to DCL, it's why he's still at Chelsea until someone offers him the starting slot there's no point in moving
I think that’s a fair valuation given that he’s coming from another premier league side and has proven he can score goals when given a decent run in a side.30 million for Iheanacho…Marcel…is that you!?!?
The simple truth is this club is not set up to compete. People are deluding themselves that they have anything other than a grim slog to look forward to this season. A section of the fanbase suffer so much from Kenwright-Stockholm syndrome that they actually make excuses for the club only having one serviceable forward - and Solomon Rondon - going in to the new season. After all, as Moshiri would readily admit, Saturday is an "expected defeat."What club goes into a season with one forward up to standard anyway? It's this seasons madness last season was Benitez
Exactly. Just like that time we sent Nkounkou out on loan and signed a backup to Digne. Or those 5 seasons we defo signed a backup to Coleman. If you're being positive, you could say that them letting Dobbin go indicates they're not nervous about the striker situation and have deals lined up
Agree I expect nothing especially now DCL is out than another battle. How the club can think that squad is anything other than another relegation scrap is beyond me. Look at teams around us like Palace and Villa they at least have two or three strikers. We have one of standard and he's injury prone then a literal brickie who can't play more than ten minutes and our main one last season had to be sacrificed because of their mismanagement of our finances. The shambles of our board means we are stuck in this death spiral until we are taken over. The simple truth is this club is not set up to compete. Would like to see us go in for Iheanacho, I reckon we could get him for around £30m.
