Honestly, im not crying or bed-wetting, but yesterday showed that defence is the least of our worries IMO.

We defended quite well against a very decent Chelsea side, but didnt really show anything as an attacking force.

Gana, Onana, Tarks and Coady are very welcome additions, but we REALLY need to add some creativity and some attacking nous for the rest of the window.
Agree sounds like (according to the Bobble)they are now scouring their list after Broja was deemed too expensive currently even on a loan and Chelsea aren't keen to let him out right now. May be why more names are popping up. I agree on the playmaker maybe we loan a striker from the French market and loan a creative player domestic? Unless Lamps sees Onana as the one who will push on.

As long as we are not relying on Chelsea to do us a favour with a loan or two, going into the final day or so. We have to give ourselves plenty of time for alternative targets. We don’t want chelsea pulling the plug on deals at the last minute again, like tomori a few years back.
That's what was in my mind they dicked us about with Zouma i think as well that year.

WHU after a CB and missed oot on Coady - I wonder if they would be tempted into a move for Keane or Holgate ?

Both would be a decent profit on the books FFP speaking.

Let's hope Moist does us a favour and throws £12-15 millions our way for one of them.

Can’t really do it now. Need 4 fit senior CB’s to support a back 3 formation. If Coady comes in will need to play Holgate as the only player with any pace

Yeah true mate although Mykolenko and Coleman can both slot in as a 3rd CB if needed.

If we could offload Keane to someone for £12-15 million would help fund a CF and LW signing on the books this summer.

I said in the Coady thread realistically we could do with a 3rd CB signing even just a loan as our defenders are still largely poor.

Godfrey is crap

Keane alright in a certain type of set up but looks finished here under Lampard

Holgate lacks concentration and was probably at fault in the run up to the pen being pulled out of position

Mina is made of glass

Tarks and Coady aside none of the others fill me with much confidence.

With Coady in we 'could' use any of:

Tarkowski
Coady
Mina
Holgate
Keane
Mykolenko
Coleman

In a back 3 over the season while Godfrey is out injured.

I'd hope Keane is moved on as theres still alot of options there.

Keane
Gbamin
Gomes
Allan
Davies
Nkounkou

I think they'll all be avaailable for sale and expect at least 4 of them to go.

Tarkowski and Coady for a combined transfer fee of zero is just ridiculous!

Is it an option or a clause to be triggered to make it permanent...thats where we will know how well Thelwell has done.

West Ham desperate for a CB according to Dithering Dave , he likes Keane too.

Go on Dave you know you want to.

If West Ham take Keane off us hot off the Onana and Coady gazumpings...that will be a masterclass.

Our squad is far too big. We are adding more players but not in the right positions. I dont think we have learned anything whatsoever from previous mistakes.
If the players we are bringing in are better than the ones we have got then I have no issues whatsoever. The issue we have is nobody else wants our cast offs.
