It’s a very bold strategy and it’s entertaining as a neutral if nothing else. It’s looking like we’ll have 7 new faces all told once the current 3 who are linked get over the line and a striker, and I think that’s really pushing it in terms of how many players you should add in one summer.

Yeah its on the border of too many new players, personally don't think we should sign Coady and not because he is a stinking kopite but with Gueye and Onana in front of the defence we should be able to get by with Holgate/Keane next to Tarkowski.

• Keep him, good enough for Prem
• We’ve been relegated and we’ve got a naturally proven Championship striker
• Or we can sell a forward who has proven he can play at Championship level

Keeping him round to get scraps doesn’t benefit anyone.

I like MGW, but 40m for a lad who has played 65 top flight games with 1 goal is astonishing.

We just spent 35m with a 20% sell on clause for a guy that has never played in England and has a total of 11 league 1 games in France under his belt
