Let’s be fair, if 6 weeks ago someone had told you that we’d have signed two centre backs that improve us, upgraded the midfield with Gana and Onana, added McNeill to the attacking options and were in the hunt for another striker…

… you’d all be “Woooooo’ing” as much as me.

It’s been a cracking window so far.

True but that was before we lost 2 centre backs to injury and ditto our only forward.

Right........so you are agreeing with me that your wanting to overpay for a third option just to get them in on day 1 isnt nearly as good as getting a good deal on your #1.

Well we tend to discuss transfer targets in here, or people we think would be good and the reason we think they'd be good.

You've just suggested a kid that plays for Real Sociedad's B side, never for the first side. If you ain't seen him play (how would you) then you play footie manager.

Hence names being suggested which prompted jest? Blogs in which people summarize or suggest names are easy to come by. I wont suggest Im an expert or having "scouted" said players, but you can read something, consider the source club and see an evaluation (let alone in his case links to some of the worlds biggest clubs) and suggest its worth interest? In others analytical data that projects certain potentials or youth tournaments. Ironically all things Everton have failed to do competently compared to their counterparts. Alas I guess it's better to stick to the known commodities and cliches as suggesting names someone hasn't heard of is pointless on a forum that speculates what good transfers would be. Regardless if the fact that a good transfer is often based on an ability to find not known commodities.
