Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

Juventus is reportedly intensifying its efforts to offload Moise Kean. The striker re-joined them on loan from Everton at the start of last season, and they could be obligated to buy him for around 28m euros by the end of this campaign.

However, his return to Juve has not been a good one as he struggles to score when he plays and rarely does get playing time at the club. He recently missed their friendly game against Atletico Madrid because he turned up late for a training session, and he may have played his last match for the club.

The former PSG loanee has now been offered to OGC Nice according to a report on Football Italia.
How, on earth, would this even happen unless Juve buy him? You can't loan a loan.

Yeah I think the plan Juve have been exploring all summer is finding a willing buyer who will stump up all or most of what they owe us, pay it straight to us and be shot of him. It doesn't say the proposal to Nice was a loan, presumably they need and want a permanent buyer.

At the end of the window I will hopefully agree with you. But at the minute, give me Richarlison with last year's squad over the current squad every day of the week.

Our lack of threat last week against a totally average Chelsea side was unacceptable, and was nothing to do with the manager or his tactics. He just isn't being provided the tools to do his job.
Agree the attack threat is bad but we had no defence and midfield with onana and gana hopefully the squad is better. Rich was a great option for us to have but we have improved imo

Correct, they have to buy him first in order to sell on. Reporting on the purchase obligation is inconsistent - some outlets think they would have to come back to us and work something out if they want to buy prior to the obligation date. Others seem to operate under the presumption that there is some sort of acceleration clause that Juventus can activate, though they don't come out and say that, which makes me suspicious that the reporting is just clueless.

Lord only knows whether they are supposed to pay in cash up front or installments as the deal stands, which means there could be a lively negotiation with us if they find a buyer.
