follow of the tradition of signing rejects, Lingard (free) massive wages, Rashford (12 months) and the return of Barkley (12 months).

111 England caps between them.

We have a load of dross to throw on the fire.

Gbamin, moise kean, Gomes, even the likes of el ghazi to offload and vdb from a wages point of view. Add dele Ali in as well.

Flog the useless lazy DCL for 50m and replace the entire midfield. Look for mobility, pace and aggression.

Those players moved years ago and football prices like everything in life inflates and goes up year on year.

£15-20 million for a young hot Championship player 3 seasons ago is now £25-30 million and so on.
There are to many clever teams out there for the best championship players to go on the cheap.
You need to get them before they have there 'big' season, which is what Brentford tried to do with Johnson last year.
For example, my main champions this summer would be Elijah Adebayo at Luton, Flynn Downes at Swansea, Ruben Colwell & Marc McGuiness at Cardiff, Ricky Jade Jones at Peterbrough & Max Bird at Derby.
There are also other leagues, other countrys & other ways of scouting/signing players

The focus on 'getting rid' will continue no matter what league we are playing in. Having PL money would give us at least some hope of getting half decent replacements in, but that will not be the case if we are relegated to the Championship. Our squad will become very weak, very quickly, making a quick return to the PL far from inevitable imo.

Keenan Davis looked very good for Forest last night, hold up play, skills, runs etc.
He's a Villa cast off but has something about him imo
could be cheap, maybe forest have a buy clause in, don't know

And Grealish cost 100m cos it was City and he was Villas best player.

In hindsight it was a complete waste of money, but at the time I felt the fee was "worth it".

Maybe he will be better next season.
He definitely will...already showing it lately...It takes time for players to adapt to Pep''s style and city's dominant possession
At Villa Grealish was often the outball on counters
He is quality, no doubt about it
