Two loans and Gana on a free? They did the Mcneil deal because it was low up front
Two loans and Gana on a free could add anywhere between £120k and £250kk p/w on to the payroll though. I wonder if we actually have that amount of wiggle room left.

I get that McNeil was a low up-front fee. But he's still a £20m commitment and he needs to start performing.

Geez! Fab’s on a bit of a roll if this has gone wrong too!

Normally as reliable as the 68 bus from the swan!

Bugger!
Used to be the
‘Here we go’
Meant something but it appears he’s spread himself across quite a few platforms and with the need for daily updates for the followers he’s found himself struggling to keep pace with the likes of football insider!….

Changing times my friend.

And has failed in every previous visit to the Prem. How much are you prepared to gamble on him?
I think he’s improved mate, definitely looks to be bringing that championship form to the next level up. On current form he would probably cost upwards of £40m.

Not saying I’d be prepared to pay that but it’s maybe largely due to prejudice surrounding his time at Newcastle and previous failure with Fulham a few years ago.

Any particular choice of striker (gets back on topic quickly)

I'd quite like Brereton Diaz of Blackburn. Young and hungry. Or maybe Pedro from Watford. A young Brazilian. But we'd probably need to sell Gordon to afford the latter.
From that list in preferred order.

1. Ben Brereton Díaz
2. Pedro
C. Young
4. Hungry

*pretty sure I didn't type Ben Brereton Díaz out in full

If Holgate is out for any period of time then I'd say it's guaranteed we can't switch, he's the only cb left with any pace
This is my fear. Maybe a loan for another CB? Although I suspect it will be Keane to come in but he has clangers in him

True no idea mate. Also wasn't arguing for Mcneil just explaining why it happened, long term target and small upfront cost.

I'm not familiar with either, but if it were my choice I would hire another Colombian player ? Mateo Cassierra currently plays for Russia's Zenith. "Cassierra finished 2021–22 Russian Premier League as the second-best goal scorer with 14 goals" He has a good record scoring, he still is relatively young and at 4.5 million seems like a good bargain.
