Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

Anything to the fact that Bobble's mate has retweeted a Romano Tweet on Gakpo's future?

I know the lad likes to be cryptic but he only normally does that with Everton related stories. Are we linked with Gakpo or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

If he was available to leave weeks and weeks ago, he wouldn't still be there. Paris WERE after around £8m (and maybe still are), but we haven't paid that so far - suggesting we are confident we can get him for substantially less. You're staying opinion as fact.

Apologies if I guesstimated your age inaccurately. Just a feeling I got from your posting style.

All I said is nothing so far indicates PSG will let him come here for free, which is what you said you'd take him on.

The bold here even backs up my point???

I even showed you an article highlighting the club's reluctance to not take a fee off an English club.

You might want to aim "young poster" guesses at your own posts as your reading & comprehension skills are lacking.

I dont know if we have room for that kind of player in our side
Exactly my reservation on him as well, I’d fear the wrath of the dars like with no other player with young Conor. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still very young so I’m sure he can learn but if you take away his ability to roam and charge about he’s not going to excel, can we afford to have someone in a free role the way we set up? I’m not so sure so I don’t see how he improves the squad at this moment

Is that benjdoesnthaveaclue?

We need to find any solution that allows us to get rid of Keane and bring in a CB who can play in a three. Maybe that young lad from Spurs who was linked earlier in the window.

Godfrey is out for a long time and Mina is unreliable at best.

That and clearing out the midfield of deadweight and signing Garner would be my top priorities. I like Gueye, but not if we have to pay a fee.

Gallagher is a very good player but looked far better at Palace than he has at Chelsea. He will face similar problems in our system as he does under Tuchel.
If he leaves he would better returning to Palace than coming here.
Broja is not yet good enough to displace Calvert-Lewin and seemingly doesn’t play wide so would just be exchanging Chelsea’s bench for ours and I would prefer someone who can play alongside as well as cover for Calvert-Lewin
Gordon is worth more to us than both those players combined.
What are you talking about…. Broja can definitely play out left.

Gilmours a good player mate the role we want him for im not concerned about height - Alan Ball was 5 ft 6 in .

Think we have big players mate, they can be as big as they like but if they switch off like the goal yesterday it doesnt matter.

I'm hoping the defense settles down, i think its an odd dynamic of multiple personalities at the moment and that dynamic has to settle, its inevitable it will based on a systems need for homeostasis eventually, which is odd because individually they are all good players. We might have done to much change there to quickly - as weird as it sounds as it did need strengthening.
Alan Ball was a different type of small mate. If you have ever heard the expression poison in little bottles, that was Bally. He was as hard as nails and an aggressive little barsteward. Billy Gillmour is comparable to Bally only for his lack of inches. He is just too lightweight for this league in my opinion.
