Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

Exactly my reservation on him as well, I’d fear the wrath of the dars like with no other player with young Conor. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still very young so I’m sure he can learn but if you take away his ability to roam and charge about he’s not going to excel, can we afford to have someone in a free role the way we set up? I’m not so sure so I don’t see how he improves the squad at this moment
He wasn't much good at West Brom season before last, bit of a headless chicken and always getting booked for silly fouls, in fact the way he was yesterday was how he was for West Brom he did have a good season with Palace though.

Can we use the Moise Kean money next summer to sign Gakpo?
Not really, but we could in theory bring in a 30m plus player without selling Gordon. From the point of view of the accounts and FFP it doesn't matter if we sell Gordon (or whoever) tomorrow or on the 30th of June next year, it's all about the financial year. Hence what we did with Richy. So we could maybe buy now, sell later.

The fact we are looking at 40m + bids for Gordon probably gives us confidence that there's a high value asset there that we didn't pay a penny for, and barring serious injury or loss of form there will be interest at the end of the season. That's a risk, but if we do need to sell a 30m + player to balance the books in theory Pickford, DCL or Gordon are all options. If Patterson has a good season wing-backs (especially young high potential ones) are in high demand, or we could even sell new arrivals like Onana or even Gakpo himself for profit if they have good seasons.

It's doable.

Only seen Garner for England but he's tall, seems fairly strong, great first touch, great at set pieces, think he could be the one to collect the balls from the keeper/defense. Also played in our current formation for Forest last season in a 2.
Sounds like Ward-Prowse

We need to find any solution that allows us to get rid of Keane and bring in a CB who can play in a three. Maybe that young lad from Spurs who was linked earlier in the window.

Godfrey is out for a long time and Mina is unreliable at best.

That and clearing out the midfield of deadweight and signing Garner would be my top priorities. I like Gueye, but not if we have to pay a fee.
No way we will get another defender in after signing two centre halves and three full backs In just over a season.
They know they have Branthwaite coming back, they wanted Keane and possibly Mina to go so won’t bring in more without some leaving.

Palace fans said he was average second half and was on the bench near the end, if he wasnt a Chelsea player he wouldn’t have got the same headlines.
Reminds me of Cantwell who everyone raved about at Norwich, then not heard a peep Since.
I can see him being back at Palace before here.

Yes I think deep down Gallagher hoping if he don't stay at Chelsea he would prefer Palace,

All I said is nothing so far indicates PSG will let him come here for free, which is what you said you'd take him on.

The bold here even backs up my point???

I even showed you an article highlighting the club's reluctance to not take a fee off an English club.

Keep the personal shots to yourself buddy. We're allowed to have different opinions - your refusing to acknowledge that anyone else might be right but you is exactly the sort of thing that caused me to wonder what made you so impatient.

If you want to discuss things on a civil basis, happy to continue. If you just want to take potshots at strangers on the internet you'll be blocked and will have to turn to someone else, sorry.
