Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

As I keep pointing out when I post I am very much an outsider looking in but when it comes the names that are being talked about, particularly Chelsea players I thought it might be worth giving you a Chelsea supporters thoughts.

I suspect its highly likely that you will buy a player from us. I very much doubt it will be one from : Colwill, Gillmour, Broja or indeed Gallagher my guess is for circa £15-20 million it will be Ampadu. He is a decent player a full Welsh International but I am not quite sure he will get another loan and I am far from sure he will get into our squad that is unless he has a very good pre season.

You almost certainly will get a player on loan and my thinking would be that if we buy Richarlison( which I very very much doubt we or indeed anyone will for big money for a player going into the last year of their contract and if I were his agent I would be suggesting he holds fire for season 22/3 it being avWC year and all that) it will be Broja if not it will be Gilmour
If we get Ampadu I will be delighted.

Richarlison has two years left on his contract mate.

He's the starting number 9 for Brazil and has two years left on his contract mate.

Gilmour and Broja will be for sale this season, You've extended Gilmour effectively to secure his value for a transfer - no new contract just the auto extension says a lot.

Cowil will be available for loan, no chance Tuchel is playing regularly a 19yo cb with zero top flight experience.

Ampadu - not seem any mention of us having any interest at all in him mate, and we won't be dropping 15-20m on a utility player which is basically what he is - he'd be a decent addition for sure, but when you hsve major holes that need filling you're best bringing players in who are natural in those roles.

Gallacher - we'll see, I can understand why a lot of your fans want to see him kept hold of, but is he right now good enough to be playing for a team that aspires to win the league - not sure right now he is , his massive drop off second half of each of the last two seasons kinda says he isn't. And Tuchel has shown no signs of really trusting youth at Chelsea - Mount and James both proved under Lampard they where good enough - so a no brainer for Tuchel to trust those.

World cup year - having literally played more thsn any other Palace player last season and winning there POTY I'm not sure he's gonna be ok with becoming a backup behind established top class players at 22/23. Next world cup the lad will be 27, so a big decision to make for him
The first paragraph sort of explains as much why I don’t think he will be pushing for a move in that he can’t afford to ship up at a new club and not play regularly if he wants to remain first choice irrespective he is now into the unprotected phase of his contract.

Historically we would have sold Broja and indeed Gilmour but as has been witnessed over the last couple of seasons their clearly is a pathway from academy to first team at Chelsea and the new owners went to great lengths to talk about the pathway so no I am far from convinced they will be sold.Indeed both are on pretty long contracts and both way in the protected per of their contracts

You talk about Gilmours extension but without having sight of the contract and in particular the clauses there is no way of knowing if any enhancements have kicked it such as if you play exnumber of International that will add a or b.

Ampadu is 21 years old and like many youngsters who are just starting out coaches don’t immediately settle on their best position. Unless called on in season 21/22 he very much played as a CD. Reece James two seasons ago was playing central midfield now he is clearly excelling at RWB. Irrespective the market for players with his sort of experience at PL, his age, and of course the fact that he is a full International, the fact he won’t require, due to his age, a squad berth all become attractive and add value.

Gallagher has 23 games at the likes of Chelsea before the WC kicks off to prove his worth , he is on a decent length contract At say Everton he would possibly start more games but at most you will have 18 games the 5 sub rule changes things dramatically in terms of the number of games squad players will be involved and you fail to take into account players that almost certainly will be moving on such as RLC, such as Jorginho, Saul has gone as in all likelihood will Ross B.

I trust your judgement over Chelsea, but who has Tuchel brought through? Frank brought a few in from the academy when you had the transfer ban, but it seems like a difficult transition to make with the squad you have there.

….I’m not a believer in the phrase ‘pathway to the first team’. Fancy terminology means absolutely nothing if a player isn’t good enough or isn’t rated by the manager.

Pathways to the First team is a nonsense.

Essentially all those contributing daily in this thread are the glued to the sofa Love Island devotees of the Everton world. Dead inside hysteria ridden gossip loving hype slags creating drama out of minutiae to fill the void in their empty self loathing lives. It’s summer, get out there and enjoy it, lads.
Don't you participate in this thread on a regular basis not even with your usual brand of snide edginess but will even provide earnest takes on the state of the squad? I think you've been compromised Chico you're everything you profess to despise. "Gooble gobble, one of us"

Haha he has the pompousness of a professional wrestler even the referring to himself in the third person. Which is a clear indicator of sliminess

I know what you mean.

Get yerself down mathew street on a Sunday afternoon instead of simping around on dating sites is @ForeverBlue92 's humble advice.

You can thank me later.

Like @ForeverBlue92 would waste his precious time proving the obvious.

You're rather obsessed son but it's ok I take it as a compliment.

You keep spreading #fakenews Eggs as only the basket cases who are obsessed with @ForeverBlue92 will listen to yer.

In the real world - I'll talk about Everton and NOT be going off topic all the time.

And you and the other supa bloos are more than happy to shout from the rooftops to any lemming/sheep/sap/misguided soul that will listen of how awful a fan @ForeverBlue92 is.

Whats YOUR excuse?
