Would we gain profit from a €60 mil player? Even if he’s amazing probably not, if he was half that I would snap your hand off to get him
He can be part of the rebuild we’ll sell Richy for something like €80m plus Moise Kean €28m. And the fee of Mina. We can afford the lad.

You know they will buy him
Surly they have to be careful, they spent 100million January , and they cant say that their sponsorship deals cant be that high , they havent sold that much to generate funds if we with a wealthy owner are stuck with FFP they wont be far behind , its alright being very rich it seems but rules are rules

Yeah I mean if we were a competent club, we would sell Richy and reinvest that money in someone like Nunes plus someone like Brennan Johnson. That would give us a chance to have a better team with no outlay. We really need a good complete midfielder (which he seems to be). But we're just so far from operating smartly that my expectations aren't even going to go there. In an alternate world, last year we would have hired a proper coach, signed Nunes and Diaz, and last season would have gone wildly differently. Sigh.....

Apparently Newcastle are trying to buy this French kid on a loan to obligation.

How can Richarlison be in the unprotected phase of his contract yet you then say Gilmour is in the protected part when the both have two seasons left under contract mate?

The pathway you mention, was t that pretty much Lampard giving them the pathway in part due to the ban on transfers and Lampards own trust of those players?

New owners nearly always say about pathway for the youth mate, rarely does it materialize especially as a very wealthy club which sacks managers when they arent challenging for the title

RLC - not sure whose buying him mate with the contract you have him on as few teams are gonna be able to match it. Same with Barkley - be surprised if you have any takers for him given his wages and rock bottom reputation these days.

Fair point on Ampadu.

Gallacher will depend on who you buy, if he sees a block to starting then the 5 sub rule doesn't change much unless he's happy to sit on the bench which by everything the lads said he wants to be starting
Gallagher and Gilmour like Richarlison are all under the age of 28 but the difference is that the two Chelsea players didn’t sign their current contracts over 3 years ago meaning that in contractural terms they remain inside the protected period Richarlison signed his latest contract over 3 years ago so he is outside the protected period.

I know some are not convinced about “ a pathway “ but it’s a term that is often used and in Chelsea’s case be it for whatever reason or cause we are seeing significant number of players who are there or there about. Tuchal integrated Chalobah this season has given debuts in cup competitions to Vale, Simmons and Hall this season all 3 under the age of 19.

RLC isn’t on , in PL terms, massive money the suggestion is that either on loan or on a permanent deal he is likely to go to Italy. Barkley, in the last year of his deal will probably be open to a longer deal elsewhere if the deal is sweetened by Chelsea he really doesn’t stand a lot of chance in being close to a starting 11

As for Gallagher we will have to wait and see Tunchal has made it clear that Gallagher wouldn’t be a bit player.
