Tell you what, I'm all for jokes / banter but a lot of you make this forum a real toxic place to be.

When the going gets tough, unfortunately I have to log out of here.

What's worse than losing one of your teams best characters?

Reading the aftermath of absolute bed wetters on here who are incapable of sensible discussion and love to spiral into pure doom and gloom.

Really depressing.

Nil Satis Nissan Optimum - applies to the fanbase too. Try it sometime.

Try not to take what you read on an online football forum with strangers too seriously mate

Yeah it's not something to be proud of or laughed about.

We constantly talk about the poor / low standards of this club.

The fanbase also has poor / low standards.

We saw what happened at the end of the season when we came together.

Thats great for atmosphere.

I'd love to see a mentality shift too.

Somethings gotta change.

See the end of last season, we all knew the score. We had an average squad and a manager who had nothing to do with assembling it sliding towards the trapdoor. We were prepared to set aside our grievances about the absolute clown show Everton had become off the field that led to the situation on it. The very minimum we should expect in return is that lessons are learned and we stop signing aging never-weres on massive wages and expecting dfferent results.

Now, I don't believe for a minute we're signing Jesse Lingard. I do believe that we're fishing in a pretty shallow pool thanks to harebrained spending for 5 years. My getting behind the team has nothing to do with my anger/weary resignation with the fact that we never. ever. learn.

Much rather we'd look at lower clubs best players than higher clubs misfits.

Does a 'free' transfer help FFP ? Because it's not going to help our wage structure.

Think they love to moan, more than love their club - to be honest.
I don't think that.

I think they want better for the club which is why they are upset at selling our best/most important player (for what many feel is a poor fee), to make ends meet due to mismanagement which saw us nearly relegated and now being linked to several players who will demand high wages, and match the pattern of poor recruitment we have seen during this mismanagement.

For me, that's them having higher ambitions and standards rather than just accepting our lot.

I get all that. I just don't think the over reactions are helpful.
