Everyone focused on the striker position because Dom is out for a month seems to be forgetting that we still don’t have a midfield which we don’t actually have any injuries to. They’re all just crap. We need both but midfield still priority 1 for me.

Hope not. I'd much rather we played Dele up front and stuck to signing a developing player that can come off the bench. We've done without recognised centre forwards before. It is possible.
There’s not enough goals in the Side with DCL in it though, nevermind without him. Rondon, dele, gray, Gordon and McNeil got 10 PL goals between them last year, that isn’t even close to being enough. Add in doucoure, Iwobi and gueye and it’s 17. Another attacker should have been very high on the agenda anyway.

Colwill to Brighton as part of the Cucurella deal apparently. He'll kick on and goto a big club for massive fee in a few years. Such a well run club down there. Puts us to shame.
Yeah they've done well, although Colwill fee being reported as 20-25 mil with a 40-45 mil buy back. Too rich for our blood, and a serious price tag for a kid with one season of Championship football under his belt, especially when the buy back limits the upside. On the flipside though getting 50m the other way for Cucurella is great business so it balances out.

Pity we couldn't have done something similar with them, there would've been deals to be made with them wanting Richarlison and us apparently wanting 22 of their 24-man squad

They look like they are getting into the practice of insisting on buy back clauses now mate, they did it with Tino last year and Levi here. With the new loan rules think this will be their default with their stable of young players.

We may be better off not going there….

I still think we'll end up with Broja, whether it be loan or permanent. Talk has dragged on for a while and we're still exploring it. There must be encouragement from Broja's end about a deal or we'd have moved on by now

Ah didn't realise they'd included it in the Colwill deal. Smart really because he's so highly thought of and they'll want three world class centre backs starting so minutes will be limited
