Even players he's signed who I like such as Doucoure for over £20 million+ wouldn't get in teams like Leicester or West Hams midfield at present when they are signing players like Soucek and Tielemans.

He had an alright first summer, absolutely dreadful 2nd and alright third - not one summer has he really smashed it out the park on some top players with pace and power.

Add in leaving us short consistently in certain areas of the squad.

Dacoure was wanted by Silva so even he isn't a Brands discovery.

He won’t be ‘cheap’ as Celtic owe about 35% of his fee to former clubs and are charging as high a price as possible

The new manager has been in situ for five minutes and he says that him and Brands are working on their list. You have no idea where we’re up to on any transfers. Maybe hold off on the cryarsing just for now.

I think I agree with him that we’re going to have the same squad plus maybe 1 new player trotting out on the opening day though.

Not inconceivable that we will but the transfer window continues beyond the first game of the season.

We were never going to do any significant business before we got a manager in so, while getting business done early is a “nice to have” it was never a particularly realistic goal this year.

In hindsight they haven’t worked but I wouldn’t call them mistakes. They seemed like good signings at the time. Personally I think Kean will be a good player in time still only 20 and we will at least get our money back. Doucoure for 20 mil is fine not sure what you think his value should have been?

It is actually five days I believe but I take your point. However I have zero confidence in Brands and less in Benitez. I will however stop cry arsing for now but may come back to you when the first game lineup is released

We don’t get business done early whether we have a manager in place or not.

It’s nice that you still somehow trust the club after all these years. I wish I did.
