Ended that perfectly. He's a gamble like every other signing is. Maybe they've struck gold, who knows, warning bells signal for me when his release clause is just £8m yet according to some on here he's the perfect replacement for James despite only Palace seeming to be interested.
I am not saying him...but plenty of talented players in the championship...maybe looking closer to home might not be a bad idea for once.

All of those were Premier League players when we signed them. Yes their clubs might have just been relegated, but they were Premier League players, we didn’t gamble on them and pluck them out of the Championship.

DCL was a good one, I’ll give you that. It’s the only successful signing of it’s type I can think of in recent years.

Holgate,Stones,Loughman,Branthwaite, Vlasic ?
Would they not be similar?
