Because he was / is a good GK and back then that was the market rate...and now it' not.

I mean if you factor in how much Lossl and Olsen cost us, 10m on Begovic 4 years ago would probably have saved us money.

I was using the logic of him being back up GK and Pickford still here, but yes, you are indeed correct, not a chance we would have kept Begovic as our number 1.
