Because none of the “bigger” clubs (whatever that means need him? That type of player doesn’t fit into their plans right now?
I’m not saying he could, just that there may be numerous reasons.
After all, if he joins Everton from Palace you would think he had moved to a “bigger” club?

If so, yes, it does. We are trying to get the average age down and develop a new “style”. This doesn’t seem to include Andros, an honest pro, but may include Lookman, who may have some qualities of which I am unaware.

No mate, they really aren’t. No heads patted since 2008 when I joined. As I said before when you’ve piped up; I don’t do it.
I said it to clarify his qualities as a player without comparison to others.

Some dreadful errors last season...i think his head may have gone a bit like Gomes' at Barca.

Was solid there for 2 seasons then last season under Koeman went off a cliff.

Have to say though, if its on loan with an option to buy then it may be a masterstroke.

Yeah. If the player you describe isnt what a new manager wants, but Lookman fits the bill, I just dont get it.

Respect your views on Townsend. I never said he was good enough for Everton though. I just gave a view on the player.

IIRC was good in his first season for Barca, steadily gone downhill and made a bunch of mistakes last season.
