Can't really see why you'd get rid of Walcott and bring in Townsend. Apart from change of manager obvs.

We didn’t appreciate Walcott’s contributions, and we thought we could get away without having any right midfielder at all, just like we’ve thought that we can get away without signing a much needed new right back for the past three seasons.

Of course, it’s just led to our right hand side being absolutely cack.

Not even slightly.

Townsend is 10 times the player that wee willy winkee is.

And yet compare the reaction to when we signed Bernard on a free = giddy with excitement. Yet he’s been crap and can’t even get a game.

We look like we might be signing someone that had the same number of assists as Rodriguez last season and everyone has a cack attack.

Walcott and Bernard both off the books, both on over 100k. Townsend comes in substantially lower than that and can probably offer more than both of them for the squad. Nothing to get bent out of shape about in my view.

We have no wide options in the squad, no real pace, and an FFP problem.

Everton therefore bringing in two cheap wide players who can both shift is an absolute disgrace.

Squad is stronger and we’ve not spent a penny. I’d much rather get players for free who can bolster the squad and use the funds on genuine first teamers than do what w shave even doing and spending huge sums on players who warm the bench most weeks.
