It's not just technical ability, it's attitude.

This team has about 4/5 actual professionals. A professional being someone who, regardless of all circumstances, replicates their best perfromane week in and week out.

If our wide options this year are Gray, Townsend and Gordon we'll be lucky to finish in the top half, particularly with Benitez in charge.

We finished top half last year with our wide options being Bernard Iwobi Coleman and then King. They were so bad that most of the time we didn’t even bother with wingers.

Townsend was in and out at Palace last season, and doesn't seem to offer anything other than pot shots that almost never go in, but Gray is a talent.

Gray was playing in the Premier League 2 (the reserves) last season, whilst Townsend started nearly every game and got five assists.
