We can’t be signing a man named Dwight

Not exciting names we're linked with. This could go 1 of 2 ways. Either they surprise us and be a solid role player or they crash and burn into deadwood within 2 months.

At least if they're short contracts they won't be burning us for years to come.

I'm almost certain no other club on the this planet would sell Rodriquez and Andros Townsend and gray would be their replacement. Fair enourg

You must have incredibly high standards if you don't think the names Demarai, Andros, Denzel and Dwight are exciting.

Looks like we're in poundland then....

Gray is not bad for buttons - could be great/could fall flat on his arse and be poo.

Begovic, Townsend and Dwight are all a bit bland and boring for me. Dwight ain't worth what they are asking, but at least he won't be able to score once a season worldies past us if we get him.

I just really want to see some of the deadwood expelled from the squaaaaad - cmon Benitez, I thought you were meant to be ruthless?!
Nothing to do with how ruthless or otherwise he is, and more to do with - surprisingly - the fact that nobody wants to buy garbage players on astronomical wages.

This is actually what we should of done years ago. Short contracts, keeps em keen. I'm sure that's why most of our loans worked out well in the past.

Most players wouldn’t agree to short contracts though, especially if they are being offered the kind of wages we were chucking about years ago. These signings are a throwback to the Moyes days where they are old and/or have blown their chances elsewhere and so we have the leverage in the talks to be able to put a short term deal on the table.
