Yes people will have seen far more of Townsend and Gray than they will have of Bailey based on the fact they’ve both played in the prem for numerous seasons so have been at Goodison multiple times as well as being on tv. Although people will claim otherwise, apart from a small minority, most will only see Leverkusen in Europe and only then if they’re playing a top side. They won’t have seen Bailey that much. That’s not saying he’s not a good player, or that we shouldn’t be interested in him, but the obsession with him in here is bordering on ridiculous.

Oh yeah, nothing new though folk saying they watch every league under the sun. I haven't got an opinion on Bailey as never seen the lad play

As for Ziyech he was good last year before the injury bug bit him a couple of times. He won't fit with Tuchel though so I'm not sure what comes next. It's a shame because Chelsea have a lot of exciting attackers and Tuchel will use basically none of it. Effective but boring as hell.

Personally think he's done an almost impossible task since he's been here on moving the utter guff we have. There's always going to be the floaters we can't shift. Every club has them.

The majority of the kids he'll get loans easily. Bernard is already out the door. Tosun will no doubt get his wages paid. All simple really. These have suitors unlike when Besic and Bolasie were sitting around here.

First off the player we're discussing scored 9 goals.

Secondly have you seen the number of goals players score in the Eredivisie? Genuinely 14 is not that amazing over there.

If somehow we could add Bailey/Antony and Aarons/Emerson then aside from a CB + CM (who we could go for next summer) then id say we'd have a very exciting team.

The James situation as you say shouldnt be a debate really...in essence weve got him for 2 seasons as we have a club option and he should start every match when fit.

If it was me, id be solely focused on getting the deadwood out of the squad now and teeing up deals for RB/RF from the 4 names above.

We also need to extend one or two contracts which seems to be an issue as well i imagine.

Add Dumfries to the RB selection for me too.

Not sure what your objection to him is. Probably the best RB of the Euro's for me, and he's quick powerful and athletic. And cheap by comparison.

Well, you said 2.5 goal average so I worked from the total number of games they could play, which is 34, so that would average out to 13 or 14.

That would put them into the top ten scorers in the league. If you're talking about Antony, his stats are a goal ever 3.5 games aren't they? With assists, it's not bad.

It's not bad in the PL. It is bad when Dusan Tadic and Steven Berghuis are far superior.

Look at what Tadic has done in both his stints. Berghuis is a 1 in 1 player over there and Watford wouldn't even put him on the field. 1 in 2.5? Yiiiikes.

The Bundesliga is of similar non-quality to the Eredivisie, Naby Keita and Andrej Kramaric absolutely ripped that league up, yet German football was cool in 2013 so people think we should buy our entire squad from there.

Bailey could be a superstar but ive got a bit of a thing for Antony...i think hes going to be fantastic and hes Brazilian of course lol
