Can you link me to Moshiri saying he expects us to be challenging due to the money invested please.

Why ? Are they advertising a free Big Mac coupon
Because Zat inferred that Moshiri gave interview(s) saying that we "should be challenging at the top of the league due to the money invested"
@MikelsGoat quite reasonably asked for a link to said interviews, but it seems that @Zatara has been unable to back up his fabrication statement and (as far as I can see) hasn't posted in this thread since. lol

Arsenal & Barcelona have learned that they can offload and oversell players to us; we think it's amazing as we have elite players, we pay high wages because we can, and everyone else has a good laugh :)
True but the arse have bought a lot of dross themselves... Difference is they have a bigger budget.

Precisimo.

I love Seamus.
He’s an ultra professional footballer who I’d deffo want to have around the club for a long time once he’s finished playing.

However, as I said previously, it’s the one position we need sorting now.

This league is FULL of pace.
We have none in the right back position.

Remember when Distin lost half a yard and was then an utter liability ?
None of us want to see Seamus getting legged all over the gaff.
Agree been good player, but why do you want him round after he's finished? He's been poor for 3-4 years + getting targeted/terrorised for last 2.

None of our older players leave the club to prove themselves + get experience at other clubs as players/coaches.

Ferguson, Unsworth, Baines, Osman, Hibbert just stay as long as they fancy it, then get coaching roles or retire. Weird set up

He said it on talk sport. He said something along the lines of we have to be challenging at the top of the table now.

Talk Sport:

“We are appointing Rafael because we believe he will bring success to our club and to Evertonians. To put it simply - we need to be competing at the top-end of the league and to be winning trophies”

Unless something dramatic happens in the transfer market over the next few weeks that won't be happening!

Yes, delays such as this are frustrating. But I am convinced most delays are super-agent or super-agent-wanna-be's maximizing their payday and client exposure. I quite dislike agents and their involvement. This agent is keeping other clubs on the line to drive the market up.
This is spot on.

Dumfries agent = Raiola
Kean agent = Raiola

"Mr Marcel, you cannot have Dumfries until you give Kean to PSG on loan".

That is genuinely the influence these pests have on the game. They trade the lives of their clients for their betterment. And yet so many on here yell at Brands to get Dumfries in (for a small fee), but also only sell Kean for £50m plus. Sometimes you can't have your cake and eat it, and one thing we have learnt with Brands is that he doesn't fall in when he has a figurative gun to his head.

It's not Football Manager ffs.

I'd love to read a Seamus autobiography once he retires that doesn't pull any punches. He was part of the Moyes reign for long enough, then have the contrast of the Martinez era, then the ever revolving door under Morishi. Especially hearing how the squad dynamic changes over time.
Anyhow wrong thread, Dalot, Aarons, Dumfries, what say you all?!
Me too. Hes the defenition of a pro tho, so i doubt he would ever spread the secrets.

Exactly, he also said "we built a squad for Carlo"...not true of course.

So he was suggesting that we spent the money to be challenging at the top.
