Just don't give away any free-kicks and they don't have a goalscorer, worst case scenario 0-0 :). Unfortunately for Everton I don't think Rafael is the most attacking of managers and I suspect he will focus, at least initially, at not losing games, over time he may look at trying to win some. But with a couple of wide men and DCL, who can jump a ridiculous height off the ground, and you will score a few
Ward Prowse is injured

Jeez!! avoid Everton Podcasts, i know things aren't great at the moment but they'll make you want to drink bleach.
That said i've just listened to the ToffeeTV one explaining FFP and the Premierleagues financial regulaitons and it was really interesting. It makes you realise just how screwed we are and if the figures and losses mentioned are true i just don't see how we comply without asset stripping the club. So if we're going to fail we may as well fail with style. Ifthat punishment is a points deduction (although no one knows what punishment a team will get) surely it makes sense to just spend money anyway and get the strongest team we can so a points deduction has as little impact as possible?

Dumfries should be the number 1 target IMO, fills the gap we`ve had in our squad for many seasons and fits the profile of the type of player we need, i.e. Pace and energy.

Then a top quality winger, would love to see Saint-Maximin but I cant see that TBH.

That would plug the gaps before we start upgrading other positions....

This place would give a panadol a headache.. moan moan moan. We will finish higher than 10th, pretty confident about that.
Transfer window time on here is when the lunatics are set free for a while.
We have the same squad as last season where we were chasing top six all season and on the periphery of top four. We have added some players at minimal cost in areas that everybody recognised was a problem and certainly these players add pace , deepen the squad and are not certain starters by any means.

There is still nearly a month left in the transfer window and the season hasn't even started yet, goes on until next May, but again if you listen to some starting next week with Seamus Coleman at right back is going to ruin the entire season.

So, we haven't gone backwards..... but so far neither have we moved forward to any degree in terms of quality in the squad and certainly if on September 1st that has not been addressed then that is a problem and very disappointing.....September 1st.

Villa.

How big an impact on the club as a whole will losing your best player, talisman and captain have ?
