looking at how the team finished the season, it’s going to take an almighty turn around in attitude to see them do any better this season.

The same bottlers who went through the motions for Ancelotti are still here.

The hope is that there is enough here already who are all fit and when playing together can form something when a bit more organised.

Pickford, Digne, Gbamin, Allan, Doucoure, Richarlison, Rodriguez and DCL is a decent basis of a side, let’s hope if all still here can surprise us all..

the frustrsting bit is for me is also the lack of outgoings yet. I mean with appr 26 first team players + a bunch of former U23'players i can imagine we are not signing many players. Squad size has increased since last year with Kean, Gbamin, Gray and Townsend with only Bernard and King as departures who were part of the squad last season. The list of players who should go is still a long list pffff FFS Brands give us something to cheer about !!

I don’t think it’ll take an almighty turnaround to improve on last season with the squad as it stands.
IF Benitez gets them more organised and drilled than previous regime with a bit more fight then that alone will push us a couple of places in the league at least. Throw in better fortune with the injury situation (I know injury lists are inevitable but ours last season you couldn’t make up!)
I also believe that in terms of the squad depth we have marginally improved by losing Bernard and king and bringing in Townsend and Gray.

it is but i guess we are still hoping on our nr 1 target (Dumfries probably) and trying to get rid of JJK. Come on Marcel call Norwich again and give them JJK / Delph with money for Aarons !

We don't have the sort of money they would want if we were including delph. Cheaper to not include him in any deal.
