….apparently Barkley knows the value of a £ & he’ll have picked up a lot of money with that move to Chelsea. The only plum will be us if we take him back.

He’s a poor professional & i always thought he was overrated. Nothing that’s happened since he left pursuades me to think otherwise.

He was talked up from such an early age as being the savior of the club, and never lived up to it. Excuses were made for him having that leg break on England duty, and folks were convinced he'd just be a late developer. Well Chelsea have saw through him, loaned him to Villa where he started well but when Grealish was out of the team he wasn't anywhere near as good.

Haven't we signed 3 and sold 2 since that situation started? That's the kind of thing you just have to write off for now and pivot around whatever happens next, when it does eventually happen, no guarantees it'll be within the transfer window.
