We've got form for taking back players who left under a cloud. Remember Piennar not feeling in the right frame of mind to play in a derby at Anfield when Spurs came sniffing around. He made little impact and then we came in and paid twice what we sold him for to bring him back. Then made him some sort of club ambassador when he finished playing.

I’d take circa 2016 Rosa Barkley back in a heart beat. We wouldn’t be getting anywhere near the same player back now though. His hamstring injuries have done him, he can’t go past players like he did. Another slow player in the midfield who struggles to cover ground to add to our collection of slow immobile plodders.
Would scream desperate this signing.
