Everton Summer transfers 2021

I would like Delph gone. I class James as a forward. I also class Bernard and Iwobi as forwards and I expect at least one of them gone. Besic out of contract and Walcott and Bolasie both forwards also out of contract.

Good, 3 out of contract, Can/will Brands and Carlo be brave enough to persuade a couple of others to leave for other clubs?

Brands has said he wants 7 and I see the logic. I would consider selling Gomes and bringing someone more suited in but 2 things you mentioned in your post make his sale highly unlikely. £22 million transfer fee £100k pw wages. He is here until 2024 so we need to use him where best suited. Delph I don't even consider in my musings as he can't stay fit. We both agree that we need a new signing possibly 2 depending on Gbamin.

You can’t rely on a player who wouldn’t have kicked a ball in two years he’s a bonus and nothing else.

Where is the 7 from?

We really need 2 midfielders in this summer in top of everything else. At least one top class one and maybe a going one with lots of promise. The chances of seeing a midfield of Sigurdsson and Gomes again terrifies me and it's a distinct possibility again this season which is astounding to be after all the windows and money spent.

Hes 6th on the list. If he doesn't look ready I would bring someone in on loan potentially. Maybe one of the young lads will step up. Onyango is front of the queue at the moment but someone else might impress in the meantime.

I would love him to come back and be a true number 6 in the mould of that Fabinho at Liverpool.

Allows Allan to play box to box and we find another option in there to add a bit more creativity or Doucoure against teams we need more runners.

If he comes back that is 4 for 2 positions in midfield and like with the CBs it would be different blends. If Gbamin plays he can drop in between the CBs and allow the full backs to play as wing backs. He would give us formation flexibility.

Romagnoli would be a dream if we continue with a deep defence.

It would likely mean Keane or Mina is off.

It's likely that the story is a load of bollocks

With Foden , Mount , Grealish and Maddison England have a nice headache deciding who to pick in midfield
No doubt Hendo gets one slot because of his club , even though he is not in their league
Although Hendo and Rice behind 3 of those is a good balance
Add Phillips instead of Hendo and it’s better again
...and coming up on the outside in what would be a surprise choice for England is the clothes horse who has been Carlo'd into a footballer ...I give you one Tom Davies of Everton......

Sure I heard Carlo today saying he was happy with midfield.

We clearly need to replace Delph with somebody who plays, but other than that I don't see wholesale changes.

That right side should be our focus.

And replacing Bernard and Iwobi with footballers.
Well that's a DM and two attacking midfielders/wide players then
