The problem for me is we sign too many players who offer little in goals/assists

Gomes
Delph
Bernard
Iwobi

Add in Max Aarons who I think we'll sign who again a decent player but for £25-30 million does he give much in terms of goals/assists?

Thats our problem.

Max Aarons is a right back, we currently don’t have a working right back.

But that's the issue for me we'll throw £30 million on someone who after 1 season with maybe 0 goals and 1 assist we'll be saying "could do with a RB who actually provides more end product like Digne" and its the same story of looking at an upgrade long term in that position again same as with Gomes and Iwobi's positions on the pitch when really once those players are signed those positions on the pitch should be sorted for years to come.

Everton are eyeing up a move for AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli should he be allowed to leave the club this summer.

That’s according to Il Milanista, who say Carlo Ancelotti would be ‘ready to welcome’the Italian to Goodison Park.
Romagnoli has found himself out of favour in Milan at times this season, with fellow defenders Simon Kjaer and Fikayo Tomori, who is on loan from Chelsea, taking the spotlight.
That was recently the case in their clash against Manchester United in the Europa League; a clash Romagnoli was forced to miss after suffering a heel injury in training

I'm not that worried with the defensive positions atm, we need far more at the other end of the pitch. Yes, a new attacking rb is needed. People are posting up stats showing we are bottom 3/4 in most of the attacking stats, creating chances etc. That's what we need addressing and that should have been a priority when carlo came in. A season and a half later and still no sign of improvement there isn't what I thought would happen under him. Not good enough.

Oh good, a centre back.

Apparently and I’m not a stat pervert. He’s got a very high percentage of quality crosses into the box. I read it somewhere something like 4.7 per 90. But Norwich strikers miss them. The Brentford full back. Bidwell( ex Everton youngster) averages 3.8 but has 7 assists.

that could be all rubbish lol. Just what I read somewhere, when we were linked

Pickford
New RB - Keane - Mina - Digne
Doucoure - New CM - New CM
New RW
- DCL - Richarlison

Then add a new LB, CF and LW player and that will get us a bit closer. Needs to be an abundance of pace and energy added, along with a drop of goals and creativity. Big ask but we need to start shifting the dross rather than allowing them to become 'squad players'.

We do lack goals in midfield and think this is one of the reasons Ancelotti is keen to renew Sigurdsson contract as although a number of his goals have been penalties he does offer more goals than the 4 listed combined. Even if you look at the top teams, they rely on around 4 scorers, we just have two in Richarlison and Calvert lewin, and neither seem to score in the same games which is why were either winning 1-0 or losing.
